Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Medium smell, a lot of sulfur aromas. Quite astringent with sweet apple aromas.
Initial Taste: Smooth with a minimal bite. Sweet and tangy apple flavours quickly come through. Mild bitter and sulfur notes. Some astringency.
After Taste: Apple tanginess lingers. Sugary residue on the tongue. Funk flavour notes. Astringency remains but weakens. Crisp finish.
On ice: Almost no flavour difference at all. Slightly more astringent and bitter.
Additional Notes: Cider House Fools is much sweeter and more mild cider than the smell would suggest – it has a much stronger sulfur smell than taste. This cider is quite tangy from start to finish – as well as being very crisp overall.
