Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Minimal smell – sweet apple juice.
Initial Taste: Small bite, strong sweet apple taste. Hints of earthy undertones from the rhubarb.
After Taste: Rhubarb comes through in a bit of the aftertaste. There is a slightly puckering sensation that builds and then diminishes quickly. Short lasting aftertaste, with hints of dark berry.
On ice: Flavour cut on ice, little difference. Less puckering overall.
Additional Notes: For 2017’s new flavour, Somersby released a rhubarb flavoured cider. While it is a unique idea, it is not much different from the original apple Somersby drink. Smooth and easy to consume, regular fans of the Somersby collection will most likely enjoy this.
