Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Mild to medium aged apple smell, with musty and earthy aromas
Initial Taste: Medium sweet bite. Syrupy and slightly tangy taste. Mature apple flavour, especially from the peel. Apricot hints with some earthy and natural bitter notes.
After Taste: Clean and flat apple finish. Remains sweet but not sugary tasting. Caramel flavour notes linger.
On ice: Carbonation is similar. Ice cuts the tangy, syrupy feel and taste. Sweetness largely remains the same with a reduced initial bite.
Additional Notes: This sidra from France is a very smooth and clean, single apple-flavoured cider that has little to no alcohol taste. This cider is very different from North American ciders, and even other French ciders, as it shares some elements with ice ciders – including the natural sweet flavours, and heavier composure.
