Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Very crisp and sweet apple smells. Hints of pear and golden delicious apples.
Initial Taste: Medium bite with tartness. Earthy, musty and slightly acidic. Strong apple peel flavour.
After Taste: Flavour goes flat quickly. Earthy apple flavours remain in the back of the mouth. Apple juice finish.
On ice: Similar carbonation levels. More tart and dry on ice, with less sweet flavours.
Additional Notes: There is a significant difference in flavour between consuming on ice and not – it is more crisp without ice while much more dry on ice. Local Press Craft Cider features a nice medley of flavours from more commonly known eating-type apples; however, this cider does not have a strong presence of tannins and depth like many other craft ciders do. It is very consumer friendly.
