Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Medium to strong sour apple aromas.
Initial Taste: Tart and somewhat bitter. A bit hoppy tasting. Musty and astringent.
After Taste: Some bitter and hoppy flavours carry. Some malty and earthy notes. Finishes quite dry.
On ice: Cuts the carbonation a lot, as well as the bite and flavour from the carbonation. Not as bitter on ice, it brings out the mild sweet notes and makes it a smoother drinking experience.
Additional Notes: A Tortured Path resembles and slightly tastes like a beer. The cider is an ‘old-world’ style beverage, with the bitter and earthy notes noticeable from the rudimental brewing techniques and tannin apples. This cider may not appeal to beginner cider-drinkers as it is very different from commercial drinks on the market.
