Cider Crate Tasting Notes:

Smell: Strong acidic smell with earthy and musty tones. Apple peel notes.
Initial Taste: Tart and sour. Very dry and bitter. Astringent, musty and earthy in flavour.
After Taste: Long-lingering bitter notes. Lemon peel and raw citrus flavour notes and feel with a semi-dry finish
On ice: Carbonation is weaker and watered-down. Milder tasting on ice – sweet flavours develop and it makes the beverage smoother to consume.

Additional Notes: Forbidden is an apple cider that features the flavours of the production and fermentation processes more than the apples it is made with – as the cider is quite astringent, bitter, musty and earthy. A very old-world and primitive tasting semi-dry style cider.
