Cider Crate Tasting Notes:

Smell: Medium aroma, Dank apple with dark tea notes.
Initial Taste: No bite. Followed by a blend of non-carbonated thicker and somewhat earthy apples. Dry, gritty “American-style” iced tea flavour and body. Some tea tannin and bitterness. Some natural sweetness, but is off-dry.
After Taste: Apples peel with some chalky notes that come from the tea elements – which are stronger in the aftertaste. Long lingering with a dank finish.
On ice: Reduced cider elements, more like an iced tea.

Additional Notes:  Carlisle Cider Company’s Hard Cider Iced Tea is a unique choice with a number of elements. It tastes like a blend between raw non-alcoholic soft cider and American style non-sweetened iced tea. Dank, it draws a lot from the Orange Pekoe tea, being gritty and bitter, tasting like a used tea-bag at times. Only a bit of natural sweetness. Quite long lasting, it has a number of elements upfront that become more arranged into the tea and peel flavours. A still choice, and it allows for a lot of elements to be showcased.
