Cider Crate Tasting Notes:

Smell: Medium aroma. Earthy with hints of sweet and over-ripe apple. Hints of floral.
Initial Taste: Light bite. Crisp and semi-sharp apples that are clean with a hint of natural sweetness to it. Juicy, it also has a bit of earthiness and grit. Hint of acidy and only a little tannin.
After Taste: Long lasting aftertaste that becomes more dry and gritty in the finish. Some yellow apple grit.  Sweetness remains with a hint of floral notes in the end. Finishes with some boozy elements.
On ice: Reduces overall flavour

Additional Notes:  Heeman’s Russet is part of their newer single varietal series. At 6.5%, it has lot of body, crispness and semi-sharp apples are clean with a natural sweetness to it.  Lots of juice and flavour that’s clean, especially for the AVB.  Full-bodied, with a touch of floral notes in the finish – this one has a lot going on and really showcases the apples as opposed to the alcohol often found in a single varietals – harder to get this amount of clean apple and alcohol together.
