Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Strong aroma. Fruity and semi-sweet juicy passionfruit, guava and orange with a touch of apple.
Initial Taste: Medium bite from carbonation. Semi-sour fruits with a slightly acidic apple base. Orange is the first fruit you notice, followed by guava and passionfruit, which remain for a longer time. Tartness from fruits. Light apple base.
After Taste: Orange dissipates becoming more zest-like. Lots of tropical fruit and slight acidity in the aftertaste that sticks around.
On ice: Slight reduction in overall taste.
Additional Notes: Howell Road’s POG Cider (Passionfruit, Orange Guava) is mostly those flavours – with a little acidic apple that’s bright as the base Long lasting, you get elements from all three of the fruits that linger a long time. Lots of peel and zest notes all around that add to the natural sourness + sharpness of the fruit with a touch of bitter elements.
