Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Medium aroma. Dry apple. Some pulp with a little funk.
Initial Taste: Light bite that builds from a touch of funk to a very crisp, clean and juicy apple. Some tart but very clean elements you might find in a green apple. Some caramel elements with a touch of fermentation
After Taste: Fresh and long lasting. The apple remains primary for a longer aftertaste. Peel crispness stays a while.
On ice: Minimal difference, a little thinner.
Additional Notes: The JK Farmhouse Scrumpy, relative to other scrumpies, is much more clean and juicy choice, but still dry. This one has a touch of funk and sour, but has a very clean and long-lasting journey. Some caramel notes. Still has some sweet elements, but this one is fermented drier than other JK’s we have had, which is why we can see them calling it a scrumpy.
