Cider Crate Tasting Notes:

Smell: Strong aroma. Caramelized, slightly woody apples.  Hints of barreling/boozy.
Initial Taste: Light bite. Quick hit of bright and caramelized apples before its quickly overtaken by a boozy, barreling flavour and sensation/astringency. Some acidity, some tannins and a semi-mellow apple.
After Taste: After the intense barreling notes, the harshness reduces leaving a long lingering woody and semi-fermentation focused dry finish.
On ice: Reduced overall flavour and intensity.

Additional Notes: Two Bloke’s Line 12 is a community cask cider, meaning the apples were brought to Two Blokes by people in the area (or far away) and turned into a cider – reducing waste and encouraging people to get involved.  In this case, it matured in barrels for 3 years, starting its journey in 2020, being put into bottles and sold in 2024. At 8.1%, its boozy-ness shines through the caramelized apples that have some tannic and astringent notes. Long-lasting aftertaste has little apple, less woody notes and a bit more fermentation elements. Touch of natural sweetness.
