Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Strong aroma. Heavy ginger + sweet spicing. Minimal apple.
Initial Taste: Minimal bite. A warming ginger quickly preset, but not too spicy. Cinnamon and clove. Bright but smooth dessert apple base.
After Taste: Bread-like notes and vanilla emerge. Ginger still lingers, becomes sweeter. Average aftertaste length.
On ice: A slightly thinner body. Becomes more “candied”
Additional Notes: 401 Cider’s Ginger Blast is most likely a rename of the winter series Gingerbread Cider, as it seems very similar and other “spring series” have similar characteristics to their “winter series”. With a warming ginger presence, it has bread and vanilla-like notes to compliment the soothing ginger. The sweet ginger dominates throughout, with some mulling spices like cinnamon, clove and others noticeable. The apple base is soft, bright and seemingly dessert-apple focused. Leans a bit sweeter.
