Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Medium aroma. Crisp, sharp apples. Hint of acidity. Semi-classic clean apple juice smell.
Initial Taste: Medium but extra crisp bright apple. Driving acidity but still somewhat clean. Touch of bitterness with a very dry overall mouthfeel. Slightly creamy with a butter popcorn note.
After Taste: Becomes more dry with a semi-gritty finish. Apple and some fermentation linger for a while.
On ice: Less intense with apple and fermentation elements reduced on ice.
Additional Notes: The Orchard Brut by Pux Cider from Michigan is a very crisp offering. Apple forward, clean and high acidity, it tastes a lot like an adult apple juice, even though it has no residual sugar (Which is unique for an extra dry cider to taste as apple-forward as it does). Slightly creamy and smooth, it lasts a long time.
