Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Medium aroma. Muddled strawberry. Pulpy and funky apples. A bit of “wild”.
Initial Taste: Light carbonation, minimal bite. Blend of semi-earthy but pulpy apple with wild woody notes that’s balanced with a muddled and infused fresh strawberry
After Taste: Becomes smoother and a little more clean. Strawberry and apple linger a bit, but not overpoweringly.
On ice: Slightly less flavourful.
Additional Notes: Heartwood’s Mistaken Identity is a balanced but creamy apple with strawberry offering. Lots of wild, earthy elements, it’s still pretty smooth and has minimal change in profile as it progresses. Doesn’t; stay in the palate long. Strawberry is pretty fresh that goes along with the bottle condition, unfiltered more wild apples. Quite mellow overall.
