Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Medium aroma. Slightly farmhouse funky. Bright sharp apples.
Initial Taste: No bite (Still). Slightly creamy and a bit funk. Semi-earthy yet bright. Very wine-like in nature. Hints of oak and nuttiness.
After Taste: Pretty quick aftertaste with only some dry elements that remain. Some fermentation aftertaste.
On ice: Not much of a change.
Additional Notes: Heartwood’s Gangsters Mistress is a still (non-carbonated) offering that you could mistake for a dry, slightly apple forward wine. It’s got some oak and nuttiness in it from the Russet apples. Quick aftertaste with some fermentation elements. Only a hint of natural sweetness though very dry.
