Cider Crate Tasting Notes:

Smell: Medium aroma. Dry and tannic with a light crisp/caramelized base
Initial Taste: Medium bite. Bright apples. Semi-sharp with crisp and tannic elements. Crisp and crackling, like a traditional Quebec cider. Some natural sweetness.
After Taste: Apple dissipates and gritty elements become more noticeable.  The sharp from the bittersharp also dissipates and you are left with a little film.
On ice: Slightly watered down.

Additional Notes:  The Route 1 by Cidrerie McKeown is a crisp cider. Its clean but for a hit of fermentation both upfront and after.  It’s bright with some semi-sharp elements and some natural sweetness.  Dry finish with a bit of a film left over.  A great example of a Quebec crackling offering, a vibe found across many common offerings in the province.
