Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Strong aroma. Pulpy, semi-sour cherry with hints of candied cherry. Slightly earthy.
Initial Taste: Light bite from carbonation. Semi intense tart (not exactly sour) cherry that’s dry with earthy elements. Apples are slightly tannic and sour. Muddled (not bright).
After Taste: A long-lingering aftertaste with dry, tart peel elements from the apples. Cherry juice remains awhile.
On ice: Reduced flavour, including sour intensity.
Additional Notes: The Loch Mór Sour Cherry is more of a tart offering, that’s got a lot of intensity. Muddled and tannic, the apples and cherry are balanced. Slightly thicker, there are a lot of peel elements in this one (some earthy hints as well). Not a “candied” offering, it lingers in the mouth a long time. Vivid tart cherries but they are not too puckering.
