Cider Crate Tasting Notes:

Smell: Strong aroma. Earthy ginger. Some funky notes. Not much apple
Initial Taste: No bite, almost still.  Slight apple base upfront that’s taken over by an earthy ginger that is somewhat funky. Some vinegar-like notes.
After Taste: Just as quick as the ginger hits, it disappears with a very short aftertaste making this unique for a cider – especially one with such strong funk and earthy notes upfront.  
On ice: Watered down but not as much intensity.

Additional Notes:  The Burton City Cider’s Ginger Apple is a very unique cider because of how intensely the ginger comes in, and then dissipates leaving almost no aftertaste. Strong on the nose, it starts with a brief spike of earthy and pungent ginger (with a hint of apple) leaves the mouth almost instantly and In the end, you think “Where did all that initial ginger and funk go?”  You won’t find many apples here.
