Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Medium aroma. Sweet blackberry. Some bright apple
Initial Taste: Light bite from carbonation. Smooth creamy apple that has some sweet elements. Some peel crispness. A sweet, candied blackberry then takes over, with some syrupy notes and body.
After Taste: Blackberry becomes a little more dry here, remains bright. Not overly long lasting flavours but some honey-like notes emerge as it ends.
On ice: Thinner and less sweet.
Additional Notes: The Blackberry Cider by Duntroon Cyder House is a fresh, blackberry forward offering that starts off with a crisp and cream apple. The aftertaste cleans out somewhat quickly but does leave a dessert friendly blackberry finish. Lots of flavour in this one, a bit on the sweeter cider, candied overall.
