Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Strong aroma. Sweet, candied berry with a touch of mango. Slight light apple.
Initial Taste: Light bite. Sweet candied blackberry and apple. Hints of smooth mango and a light fruit wine element.
After Taste: Becomes slightly drier with a bit more blackberry focus. Sugar lingers as mango leaves. Vidal is more noticeable in the end.
On ice: Reduced overall flavour and pop, less sweet
Additional Notes: Chill Street via Kings Court Winery (They used to produce produce out of Nova Scotia as well), offers what was called Night Moves, is now renamed Starry Nights. A wine blend made with vidal, it is blackberry forward and sweet fruited cider. Long lingering, Vidal wine elements leave a white-grape like finish. Not too many apples, but a lot of elements going on. Mango has some appearance in the middle. A bit of a higher ABV at 6.8% – probably from added wine.
