Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Medium aroma. Bright, crisp and semi-sweet apple with smooth raspberry secondary elements.
Initial Taste: Medium bite from carbonation. Smooth, light dessert apple base with infused tart and dry raspberries.
After Taste: Raspberry and sweeter apple elements dissipate, leaving a slightly more earthy apple. Lingering crisp apple aspects and tonic-like notes.
On ice: Thinner bodied. Less tangy and sweet.
Additional Notes: Hounds of Erie Sassy Bitch (female dog-named) is raspberry-infused cider made with 100% golden russets for the apple base. Apples are bright, semi-crisp and a touch soft. A natural sweetness to the apples, but is off-dry. Raspberries are tart and seem dry, but more infused and not juicy tasting. Overall a pretty clean cider, with a bit of grit (presumably from the golden russets). Effervescent.
