Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Strong aroma. Bright sweet apples with warming spices (especially cinnamon)
Initial Taste: Light bite. Semi-bright apple that’s quickly overtaken by strong, smooth and creamy semi-caramelized apples that have flakey pastry elements. Some spices. Strong, full bodied and thick.
After Taste: Apple dissipates, leaving a caramelized finish with spices that linger on the mouth – mostly cinnamon detectable here.
On ice: Muted as it’s not as full bodied and spices are thinner
Additional Notes: Gagetown’s Apple Pie cider is a homage to the beloved dessert. Flavour matching the inside of an apple pie (Thick, creamy and caramelized with warming spices), it’s a full-flavoured dessert offering. Cinnamon spices are present and balanced, and there are even flakey elements within. Lots of trub in this one – its unfiltered and it shows.
