Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Strong aroma. Hops that are lightly funky with a hint of a tart green apple.
Initial Taste: Light bite from carbonation. Funky, fermentation and pine elements quickly noticeable. Tart apple thats semi-crisp. Citrus elements and hints of savoury floral notes.
After Taste: Hops remain present but apple comes though a little more at the end. Tangy, mildly tart finish with some fermentation elements lingering. Slight tongue residual notes.
On ice: Reduced hops and overall flavour. Slightly less carbonation.
Additional Notes: Rice Lake’s Slo-Hopped Dry is a hop-forward offering with a variety of characteristics noticeable – a bit of a journey cider. It features a wide array of notes from the hops, including: citrus, floral and pine elements. Some green apple notes come through in the base, and it grows in apple forwardness in the finish. If you like pale ales, this may be a good cider for you, but still would be approachable to most.
