Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Strong aroma. Musty, pulpy apples with some pungent elements.
Initial Taste: Light bite from carbonation. Some acidity and musty apples to start. Smooth apples but slightly gritty and a bunch of fermentation + danker elements present but not overpowering.
After Taste: Punchy and harsh elements reduce leaving a smoother, blended apple and pear notes mix – that are somewhat long lingering. Hints of sweeter honey in the aftertaste.
On ice: Smoother and less harsh elements.
Additional Notes: The Joint is a mixed offering of 3 apple ciders, 1 perry and honey between Redtail Vineyard, Fieldbird Cider and Randee’s Bees Honey. Musty and dank to start, but it becomes smoother – this blended offering has lots of funk and fermentation elements. Finishes on the pear and honey elements in particular. Shake as the bottle says to release the heavy sediment as it is bottle conditioned.
