Cider Crate Tasting Notes:

Smell: Medium aroma. Bright, pulpy apples. Some peel.
Initial Taste: Light bite from carbonation. Quick syrupy apples that are medium sweetness. Mild alcohol notes. Crisp and tangy.
After Taste: Becomes even heavier of a mouthfeel. Apple tastes concentrated. Apple notes linger, with some caramelized notes emerging and lingering.
On ice: Less carbonation and bite. Flavour watered down. Mouthfeel very thinned.

Additional Notes: Spirit Tree’s Draught Cider is an original in the Ontario Craft Cider scene and has been delighting crowds for many years now. Tasting very different than previous versions in 2022 (our review from 2016 had completely different tasting notes), this is a sweeter offering now, that has thick, concentrated apple notes and a heavy, syrupy body. Rich in apple notes throughout, it becomes caramelized near the finish. A good beginner or transition cider as its rich in flavour. A crisp and tangy offering.
