Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Strong musty and acidic smell. Some pear notes
Initial Taste: bitter and musty flavours with some earthy tones. Flat taste and feel – no bite. Flavours of pear skin obvious.
After Taste: Dry and stale natural pear flavour. Some bitter and sour notes. Not a long-lingering after taste.
On ice: Ice noticeably waters down the flavour and feel of the cider.
Additional Notes: This is one of the most natural ‘true-to-the-fruit’ pear ciders you can get, as it is earthy and not artificially sweet. It has a fairly consistent flavour journey, without a lot of depth or change in flavours from start to finish. It is crisp and refreshing to consume. Not like other pear ciders available in the Ontario market.
