Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Strong aroma of elderflower with some pulpy apple hints
Initial Taste: Smooth. Quick, strong elderflower flavour. Quite sweet with a mild tartness. Pear and lychee flavour notes.
After Taste: Elderflower flavour slightly dissipates but remains and lingers. Apple flavours come through. Hints of honey flavour. Floral, crisp finish.
On ice: Carbonation is slightly cut. Flavour and sweetness are slightly cut and is more astringent tasting.
Additional Notes: Fraser Valley’s Elderflower cider is a true-to-the-name, non-traditional cider, strongly and prominently featuring elderflower flavour. It is a sweet cider overall, but it not sugary or artificial tasting like some elderflower-flavoured products can be. This is a very crisp cider overall – with a bit of funk.
