Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Semi-strong aroma, Musty, sweet, ice-cider-like aspects. Some pear notes.
Initial Taste: Medium bite from carbonation. Sweet and semi-syrupy pear. Thick but not sugary. Some acidity and musty/earthy.
After Taste: Becomes flatter and even more like an apple cider. Pear become more noticeable the more you get into the bottle. Has a bit of a metallic finish. Very cellared and aged tasting.
On ice: Much thinner. Less metallic notes.
Additional Notes: The Eric Bordelet – Poire Authentique is a unique Perry, its taste profile is like a thicker apple cider, but still has notes of a deep, ripe pear. Sweet but not sugary, it finishes slightly dry and full-flavoured. It tastes rustic.
