Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Mild but has a rustic and earthy single-apple smell.
Initial Taste: Medium bite with some bitter notes quickly noticeable. Single apple flavour. Musty and earthy. A complex blend of sweet and sour flavours.
After Taste: Becomes more tart on the pallet. Remains a bit sweet but never sugary. Progresses to be more dry in the mouth.
On ice: Has very little smell on-ice. Colour changes from clear to murky-yellow. Much more earthy and musty on ice. Stronger apple taste without ice, but on ice it has more fermentation process notes detectable and less apple flavour
Additional Notes: Sideroad Dry Cider accomplishes its goal of being a rustic, countryside cider – making you imagine you are drinking it in a rural, dusty area. With many traditional and old-world flavours, you can taste the quality of the apples and processes used to craft this cider. This cider has one of the biggest changes in appearance and taste between on and off ice we’ve noticed thus far.
