Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Medium aroma. Pungent, wild apple smell. Acidic and somewhat bitter aroma. Earthy. Musty. Banana notes.
Initial Taste: Medium bite from carbonation and acidity. Earthy and woody (that is slightly harsh on the palate). Tangy and sweet apple flavours.
After Taste: Becomes more sweet with banana and caramel notes. Wood notes remain. Semi-dry finish. Some lingering acidity.
On ice: Cuts carbonation. Becomes smoother and more crisp. Less bitterness and acidity. More sweet.
Additional Notes: D’ont Poke the Bear differs from other Ontario Ciders in taste, having more harsh earthy notes among sweet, fruity flavours. With unique banana notes, it reminds us of a hefeweizen, despite there being no wheat in this drink. With a gritty mouth feel, it brings up memories of a dry white wine or an ice cider. Seems rudiment in taste and feel.

You will have to reach out directly to the makers of D’Poke The Bear. It seems they are affiliated with Creekside Winery now.

I am curious when you are making another batch The batch you have made on June 5th 2024 tastes off and is kind of a bit sour I have purchased many of them and have had to return them
