Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Sweet, semi-strong smell of citra hops with a sour apple base. Hints of lemon and citrus.
Initial Taste: Smooth with no bite, sweet apple with a citrus flavour. Slightly acidic. Musty and tangy notes.
After Taste: Hops come though in the aftertaste – however not as hoppy as it smells. Remains on the pallet for extended period of time. Kiwi flavours. Apple and citrus finish.
On ice: Most elements are reduced on-ice. More sweet and less sour. More crisp, less dry on ice.
Additional Notes: Similar to the original Forbidden, this hopped version offers a more beer-like flavour but remaining true as a cider. Semi-strong hops give the overall taste a touch of a juicy citrus feel, but still with a strong apple base. Hints of sour apples remain in the mouth long after it is consumed.
