Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Strong mustiness with some sweetness. Fleshy apple and honey aromas.
Initial Taste: Mild bite. Quick honey taste – and sweetness from that. Crisp, single-variety (like a honey crisp) apple flavour. Some bitter and sour notes.
After Taste: Becomes more tangy but sweetness lingers. Apple and honey flavours also remain. Fleshy/pulpy apple flavours. Crisp finish.
On ice: Carbonation is cut. Becomes even more crisp. Flavour remains mostly the same.
Additional Notes: 401 Brewery’s Oh Honey is a stellar example of a honey infused cider; with a bold honey taste, it stands out in a field of honey-infused ciders as it strongly features that flavour. It’s a very smooth drink overall.
