One may over-look The Bent Elbow while driving down King Street in Kitchener, as it’s located in an average run-of-the-mill strip mall and it’s exterior isn’t glamorous. Regardless of where you enjoy a KW Craft Cider, it feels extra special to sample locally in the KW region. We’ve written about this cidery many times now, and despite our best efforts, they release new varieties of cider quicker than we can try them and write about it. At 6.3% abv, this cider has a golden orange hue – as one might expect with a pumpkin-themed beverage. There is a strong spice smell noticeable with cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice detectable; and classic apple aromas also present.
Initially, the taste is a smooth apple cider flavour, similar in vein to KW Craft’s Flagship Dry Cider. However, a few moments after, the spices start to develop and build rapidly on the pallet for a strong burst of flavour; with some of the spices like cinnamon and nutmeg really hitting you in the back of the throat for a full-bodied experience. The spices do become smoother into the aftertaste though, with the cinnamon and nutmeg 
KW Craft Pumpkin Spice Cider is a rather crisp cider overall – with the spices becoming more tolerated and less sharp as you continue to drink the beverage. This cider is similar to another KW Craft Cider we have reviewed – their famous Hot Ginger/Thai Ginger cider – as the spices in both of these ciders will wake and warm you up.
