Cider Crate Tasting Notes:

Smell: Strong aroma. Strong hops presence including citra-hops.
Initial Taste: Medium bite from carbonation and hops bitterness. Quickly hops-forward. Mild generic apple flavour. Hops provide some sensation on the tongue. Mild soap notes.
After Taste: Apple flavours more noticeable, including some sour apples. Hops remain strong. Mild lemon and orange notes. Semi-dry finish and long-lingering, partially from the hops.
On ice: Slightly less carbonation but no noticeable flavour change.

Additional Notes:  Brickwork’s Chronicles of Hops is indeed a very hop-forward cider – probably one of, if not the most, aggressively hopped ciders we’ve come across. Featuring more sour apples than typical Brickworks offerings, the hops are strong and do add some harshness and bitterness from start to finish. If you like hoppy beers, this may be a great cider to try.
