Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Strong smell of dark chocolate – with musty apple aromas.
Initial Taste: Mild bite. Quick dark chocolate flavour that has bitter notes. Some sour apple tastes.
After Taste: Chocolate becomes more creamy – that lingers for a long time. Apple flavours remain, become sweeter. Semi-dry finish from both chocolate and the apples.
On ice: Carbonation is cut. Chocolate is less creamy, apple flavours more prevalent.
Additional Notes: The Gatsby is an incredibly unique cider that boldly features dark chocolate flavour from the added Donini chocolate. It is well-balanced and is executed very well as chocolate is a risky ingredient. This cider features the depth of good quality chocolate – without compromising being a cider, featuring a lot of layers of apple flavours. It is full-bodied and would be perfect dessert cider… or a good aphrodisiac to impress your partner.
