Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Strong aroma. Musty, acidic & tart raspberry. Also sweet and wine-like.
Initial Taste: Slight bite from carbonation and acidity. Slightly tart. Sweet, fleshy apple, with strong, sweet raspberry flavours.
After Taste: Becomes sweeter and more sugary. Is a very sugared raspberry flavour – like you might find in a candy or if you sugar-dusted the fruit. Leaves a sugar residue/film in the mouth. Some wine cooler elements. Sweet finish that lingers.
On ice: Becomes more sweet and sugar forward. Thinner mouthfeel.
Additional Notes: Magnotta Raspberry follows suite with the Magnotta cider line – sweet, fruity and light with a hint of wine elements. However, its not dry and tastes very candied. Could be a substitute for a wine cooler as it very sweet with a gritty mouth feel. Quite a commercial offering, would appeal to new cider drinkers especially.
