Cider Crate Tasting Notes:

Smell: Mild aroma. Semi-earthy apple aroma.
Initial Taste: No bite. Quick acidity and pungent notes. Mix of dessert-tasting apples. Mild vinegar notes. Slightly tangy.
After Taste: Apple flavour continues but diminishes. Tonic water flavours and sensation. Film left in mouth Semi-dry finish with white wine characteristics.
On ice: Minimal difference.

Additional Notes: Liberty Village’s first apple cider might be good for mixing cocktails with, as it features many elements beyond the apples: such as earthiness, pungent and vinegar notes, and a tonic-water like taste and characteristics (Maybe try with a shot of gin). A potential reasonable substitution for white wine as it finishes semi-dry with some similar flavours.

Is there an expiry date on the can or just the date it was made/ canned.
Mine has a date of 18/04/19

    • I would not be able to answer that. Can’s typically last 3 months or so before they start to interrupt the cider flavour. (Depending on the can materiel)

  2. Royal Navy 15 years based in Plymouth, the West Country (Devon & Cornwall) the home of Cider and Scrumpy! This is the closest to the real thing that I have ever tasted here in Canada. All the sugar is brewed out and results a crisp, dry and delicately light flavour with just a hint of apple and you don’t need ice! Marvellously more refreshing than sweet ciders, that overdose on exaggerated apple flavours and acidity. Want to make punch, you will with this, Liberty Village Dry Cider and any red wine with some citrus fruit and a pinch of your favourite warming spice is all you would need!
