Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Strong, very musty, metallic and vinegar aromas – with a slight amount of pear.
Initial Taste: Slight bite, followed by strong acidity and mustiness. Medium pear skins. Has a cider vinegar feel and taste.
After Taste: Becomes slightly sweeter and more pear-flavoured. Still remains very pungent and lingers a long.
On ice: Smoother and less carbonation. Ice changes the cider vinegar elements but does not eliminate. Becomes more single flavour.
Additional Notes: A mix of Bosc and Bartlett, this Perry is bold, acidic and earthy. Eden Grove is a full bodied drink that highly features the fermentation process in the flavours. There is a unique smokiness that you typically don’t find in a perry. There are a lot of strong cider vinegar notes, that may not appeal to everyone as they can distract from the pear flavours. If you like something that is strong in flavour, this will tickle your senses.
