Cider Crate Tasting Notes:
Smell: Medium aromas of acidic apples
Initial Taste: Sweet and sour dry apple flavour. Some bitter and musty notes in the initial flavours for a mild bite in the mouth.
After Taste: Apple-flesh flavour really develops after a few moments. Some malt and tang flavours develop and linger. Some hints of honey present.
On ice: Same carbonation levels and feel. The ice cuts some of the sour bite, to become slightly smoother to drink. Retains the other cider characteristics including sweet apple flavours.
Additional Notes: There is a strong presence of tannins from cider apples evident. The Gold Cider takes at least 5-10 seconds for the flavour to come forward. It is overall a smooth-drinking, traditional English cider.
